I fell in love with beauty early. I grew up surrounded by aunts who sold Avon, owned salons, and always had something new and sparkly to try. Makeup was my first language—and I was hooked.
But as much as I loved the products, what kept me going wasn’t the brushes or the palettes. It was what happened when a woman looked in the mirror and finally saw herself differently.
I’ve had teenagers cry because, maybe for the first time, they felt they could face the world confidently. I’ve worked with women who had sworn off makeup after a bad experience, only to see them light up when they felt beautiful again.
This work is intimate. It’s powerful. When you trust someone to do your makeup, you’re letting them into a sacred space—your self-image. And I don’t take that lightly.
Because if you don’t listen—if you miss the cues in her words, her expressions, her body language—you can chip away at her confidence. But when you get it right? You can give her the spark she needs to feel like herself again, or the quiet courage to walk into a room with her head held high.
